Chuck Hetzler, Ph.D. in New Testament, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, was transformed from a reserved biblical scholar into a passionate revivalist when he experienced the power of God at Princeton University. Desperate to see God move, he and his colleagues began each day with 2 hours of prayer. Soon after, they watched their 5-year old ministry become Princeton’s largest student organization. Hetzler further tested the biblical principles of wholeheartedly seeking God as he became the pastor of a dying mainline denominational church in middle America. Again, God was true to His promise: He draws near to us when we draw near to Him (James 4:8). The church is now a living testimony of God’s power.
The Hetzlers moved back to the NYC area in July of 2018 to start Bethesda Grace. While pastoring, Chuck writes and speaks for a national audience with Christian Union Day and Night. Chuck has been married to Karen for 17 years. They have four children—two by birth, two by adoption. Karen is a professional soprano and gifted minister to women through teaching and prayer ministry.
